There are many different types of volunteer engagement. One style that is becoming more and more popular is engaging volunteers in event-based or project-based opportunities. This type of engagement typically has a short and well-defined commitment. Many traditional volunteer engagement tactics may be abbreviated or adjusted due to time constraints, resources, or availability. Join us to learn more about this tactic and how to successfully leverage it.

Presenter Bio: Ellen Everitt, MNM, is an experienced Volunteer Coordinator with a demonstrated history of working in the non-profit industry. She is skilled in Personnel Management, Communication, Public Speaking, Grant Writing, Money Management, and Community Outreach. She has a strong community and social services professional with a Master's degree focused in Non-Profit/Public/Organizational Management from The University of Georgia.

Ellen is currently the Development and Communications Coordinator for the Pro Bono Partnership of Atlanta, and has previously been a Volunteer coordinator for St. Mary’s Hospice House and the Athens Community Council on Aging. She has assisted for many years with volunteer coordination for AthFest Music and Arts Festival 3-day event.
