You know the feeling you get when you know you should speak up about an issue, idea, or concern? 85% of people* don't feel safe speaking up in their organizations. This session will focus on identifying coaching habits that can be used to build psychological safety and promote innovation, creativity, and problem-solving in groups and teams.

Speaker Bio:

Katy Manley (she/her) is a graduate student in the University of Georgia's Mary Frances Early College of Education where she is completing her Master's in Adult Learning, Leadership, and Organization Development and a graduate certificate in organization coaching. Her research focuses on the connections between psychological safety and professional coaching. Outside of the academic realm, Katy volunteers as a Georgia Master Naturalist, is an avid birder, and a dog mom. She lives with her spouse in the Athens area (Georgia) where she is a Senior IT analyst. Katy is currently working to establish her own Coaching and Leadership Development Practice, Katy Manley Coaching, LLC in the fall of 2022.
