As a leader of volunteers, are you often prevented from expanding and/or improving your programs because of a lack of funding or support from your Board or senior staff?

Do you feel that you and your program just don’t have the respect or consideration that the impact you make deserves?

In many cases, simply knowing how to advocate for yourself, the volunteers and your program can make a massive difference.

In this interactive workshop, we will cover (and practice!) simple skills for presenting, negotiating and finalizing proposals that will finally get you “a seat at the table”.

What you'll leave with:

  • Useful guidelines for preparing to speak to the Board;
  • Tips for looking strong and confident (even if you don’t feel that way);
  • Ideas for what to say (and not say) during the presentation;
  • How to negotiate when there’s push back; and
  • Steps for ensuring that what was agreed upon is followed through.
